This segment runs from the end of the four-lane section on the Mountain Parkway near Campton to just west of the Lee City/West Liberty interchange (Exit 57). It covers 11 miles of existing roadway, from mile points 45.8 – 56.8.
The preliminary planning and final design work to widen this segment of the Parkway have been completed.
In June 2020, the Mountain Parkway Expansion was awarded a competitive $55 million federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant to begin construction on the Wolfe County segment.
Utility relocation and right of way acquisition began in 2020. This segment is scheduled to be let for construction in 2022, with construction beginning later in the year. The anticipated completion date of this segment is summer 2027.
