MAGOFFIN COUNTY WEST

Location

This segment of the Parkway runs from just west of the Cutuno-Hager Road overpass to just west of the Middle Fork of the Licking River Bridge. It covers 4.6 miles, from mile points 65 to 69.6.

Construction began on this segment of the Parkway in the fall of 2019. The goal is to have the Magoffin County West segment open to four-lanes by the end of 2024. The Magoffin County West segment will be the fourth section of the Parkway to be completed.

Project Description

  • Widen Parkway to four lanes
  • Move existing Parkway alignment south to reduce costs and environmental impacts
  • Add interchange at KY 3046 (Kernie-Ova-Seitz Road) to provide local access
