Location

This segment runs from the end of the four-lane section on the Mountain Parkway near Campton to just west of the Lee City/West Liberty interchange (Exit 57). It covers 11 miles of existing roadway, from mile points 45.8 – 56.8.

In June 2020, the Mountain Parkway Expansion was awarded a competitive $55 million federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant. A $97.1 million construction contract was awarded in spring 2022, six months ahead of schedule. The project broke ground in August 2022.

The anticipated completion date of this segment is 2027.

Project Description

• Widen parkway to four lanes
• Reconstruct existing Campton interchange (KY 191) to allow full eastbound and westbound access to and from the parkway
• Modernize Hazel Green interchange (KY 1010) to enhance safety and mobility
