This segment runs from the end of the four-lane section on the Mountain Parkway near Campton to just west of the Lee City/West Liberty interchange (Exit 57). It will widen 11 miles of existing roadway from mile points 45.8 – 56.8, and will modernize interchanges at KY 191 and KY 1010 (Hazel Green)
In June 2020, the Mountain Parkway Expansion was awarded a competitive $55 million federal Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) grant. A $97.1 million construction contract was awarded in spring 2022, six months ahead of schedule. The project broke ground in August 2022.
This segment is estimated to be complete in 2026.
