New Campaign Will Share More Details About Mountain Parkway Expansion

Website, social media sites dedicated to informing public about major project

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has launched an online and social media campaign dedicated to sharing the latest information about the Mountain Parkway Expansion with citizens of the Commonwealth.

The Mountain Parkway Expansion is a 46-mile transportation improvement project that will create a safer and wider transportation corridor to better connect Eastern Kentucky with the rest of the state. Completion of this major highway transportation project was identified earlier this year as a key priority of Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, the Kentucky General Assembly and the Transportation Cabinet.

Through regular electronic communications, the cabinet and its project team will work to keep residents, property owners, business and community leaders and the news media well-informed about traffic impacts and construction progress.
