KY 114

This segment of the Parkway runs from U.S. 460/KY 114 Jct. at mile marker 77.7 in Salyersville, to U.S. 23 at Prestonsburg. It covers roughly 14 miles of existing roadway.

In November 2015, the Mountain Parkway Expansion team held a public meeting to discuss the two route options being considered for the new KY 114 segment of the Parkway. No decision has been made on whether to widen the Parkway along the existing corridor (KY 114), or to build a new road along a cross-country corridor to the north of KY 114.

When final decisions on the chosen route, as well as construction time tables for this segment, have been made, that information will be shared with the public on this website, on the Mountain Parkway’s Facebook and Twitter pages, and through reporting by the local media. The construction timeline for this segment depends on funding that will be allotted by the Kentucky General Assembly and has not yet been finalized.

Project Description

  • Extend the Mountain Parkway from east of the Restaurant Row Segment in Salyersville, to U.S. 23 at Prestonsburg
  • Widen Parkway to four lanes
  • Reduce entry points along the Parkway to ensure safety and mobility
